Replacing a broken part
Clients often come to us with a broken part and need a few copies made in plastic, sometimes as an emergency. We rebuild the part as a CAD model and 3D print the copies, so the machine can run again without waiting for a replacement to arrive.
Metal parts without an aluminium die
A client wanted small, precise metal parts made by investment casting, but did not want to spend on an aluminium die. We 3D printed the die in a special 3D printing material and used it to make the wax patterns, assembled into wax trees. The client then had them cast in metal at an outsourced casting facility. A few hundred small, precise parts were made this way without building a die.
